Cian G. O'Brien joined the law firm of Beusse Wolter Sanks Mora & Maire, P.A. in 2006. Mr. O'Brien's practice focuses primarily on securing legal protection for inventions involving mechanical systems, electronics, optical systems, and business method patents. During his undergraduate education at Rollins College , Mr. O'Brien completed several individual optical research projects, including mode analysis of a Nd:YAG laser and deflection analysis of an acousto-optic modulator. Additionally, Mr. O'Brien was nationally selected to participate in a NSF-sponsored research program at CREOL (Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers) at UCF, in which he studied the frequency doubling effects of a Cr:LiSAF microlaser. Upon graduation from Florida State University College of Law, Mr. O'Brien joined the Office of the State Attorney – Ninth Judicial Circuit, as a felony Assistant State Attorney and tried thirteen jury trials. Mr. O'Brien's research experience and undergraduate education, coupled with his legal training, enable him to quickly understand and evaluate new technology and communicate effectively with clients concerning mechanical and electrical related inventions.
