Mark W. Scott is a registered patent agent licensed to practice before the USPTO. Mr. Scott is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Colorado , and will soon be sitting for the Florida Bar Exam. Mr. Scott's practice is focused on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Throughout his career, Mr. Scott has worked to grow intellectual property assets for individuals and companies by regularly preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, drafting and evaluating license, material transfer, and confidentiality agreements, conducting state-of-the-art, patentability, freedom-to-operate, and validity searches, and drafting associated opinions. Mr. Scott has worked with a vast number of technologies, including computer-related, chemical, mechanical, medical device, and pharmaceutical technologies. Prior to joining Beusse Wolter Sanks Mora & Maire, P.A., Mr. Scott practiced with the firms Ryndak and Suri LLP of Chicago, Illinois and Sheridan Ross P.C. of Denver , Colorado . In addition, Mr. Scott has worked as in-house counsel for a start-up pharmaceutical R&D company in Boulder , Colorado . Before entering the field of law, Mr. Scott worked as an Analytical Chemist. Mr. Scott holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Forensic Science, and a Juris Doctor degree in law.
